Ladies and gentlemen,
I am greatly honored to stand before you on this great day to witness the commencement of scheduled flight operation services on the Lusaka – Dar es Salaam route by our beloved national airline of the Republic of Zambia, Zambia Airways.
This event is particularly important to us in our regional expansion program, as it makes Dar es Salaam only our second regional destination, after Johannesburg in South Africa, where we commenced operations on 1st June 2023.
It is our considered our view that the commencement of scheduled flight operations on this route will significantly contribute to the growth in commerce and trade, enhance the tourism product and ease the movement of people between our two sister countries.
I, therefore, would like to thank the Civil Aviation Authorities of both countries for their assistance in facilitating the commencement of our operations on this route, as it signifies the deep, warm and longstanding relations that exist between these two sister nations and their people.
Lastly, but not least, I would like to thank the Honourable Minister for accepting our invitation to come with us and grace this momentous occasion in the growth and expansion of our airline. It is hoped that the entry of Zambia Airways on this route will further spur our growth and expansion in the regional market.
Let this occasion serve as a symbol of our commitment to excellence and our unwavering determination to soar to new and higher heights.
